Buffalo Sewer Authority (BSA): Hazelwood Ave Real Time Control Project

Work Performed
Construction of a sewer flow retention structure within a residential city neighborhood, designed to allow for storage and controlled release of storm surge flow within the existing 96” diameter pipe to the downstream treatment plant facilities. Following installation of the excavation shoring system and formidable limestone bedrock removal, the cast-in-place concrete structure was constructed, followed by installation of two cast iron flow control gates and final reconstruction of the project site to its original condition. $1.2M project completed in 2019.
